On Friday Timothy Adarna's attorney admits his client did kill Robert Ramos in 2006. Ramos was stabbed multiple times severing a main artery and fracturing a vertebra. But Adarna's attorney says it was self defense saying the victim was carrying a pick when the two got into an argument. "Timothy Adarna has no history of violence. Not fighting. Not lashing out. It's not there, anywhere," said Adarna attorney David Hayakawa. "There was another stab wound to the back of the neck. That stab wound fractured the verterbrae. There was a stab wound to the left upper back, that punctured his lung," said Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Takata. The prosecution says Adarna was angry about strict rules of the house. The defense contends he was going through extreme emotional problems and doesn't remember the crime. If convicted of murder two and arson, Adarna faces life in prison. |
