| Suspect Sought for Mutilated Turtle on North Shore |

A turtle was found buried upside down in the sand at Laniakea Beach. It's stomach had been gutted and one of its flippers cut off. Avolunteer with Malama Na Honu, a turtle guardian group made the disturbing discovery around nine this morning. The turtle called "Honey Girl" by volunteers was a frequent visitor at Laniakea Beach. It is believed the suspect killed the turtle for food sometime overnight. Anyone with information is asked to call 643-DLNR.              |
