But not for long. This time Chalker returns with a hammer. "The victim, who is the brother in this case, is lying on the couch watching TV. Twenty minutes later he hears Anthony come back, looks up and sees him with a hammer, grunts and takes a swing." The brother deflects the hammer away from his head. The father steps in to help get the hammer away from him and the police are called. Chalker is arrested and convicted of felony assault in the second degree and put on probation. He'd eventually serve jail time for one of eight other convictions, including assault and abuse of a family member. But when Chalker got out under terms of the new stricter hope probation last year, police say he stopped checking in daily and now he's on the run. "This is obviously someone who has an anger problem, that he's picking up a bat to hit his mother for gas money." There's a $20,000 warrant out for Anthony Chalker's arrest. He's is described as 5-foot-7, weighing about 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Chalker is known to hang out in the Aiea area. |
