Colt Brennan at Redskins Camp in Virginia Print E-mail

The following story is courtesy of WUSA in Washington D.C.

He may have the most recognizable name of all the Redskins rookies. But Colt Brennan knows that right now, that means nothing.

"I don't feel any pressure really," Brennan said. "I just wanna go out there and show everybody what I'm all about and that's why every time I step out there, I'm excited for it."

The record setting quarterback out of Hawaii was a 6th round pick. The job of impressing his new coach started immediately.

"He's got a ways to go and I'll tell you, he's a great study, he loves what he's doing, he loves being out here, the guys are gonna rally around him," said Redskins Head Coach Jim Zorn.

Colt has gone from being the big man on campus, or island, to struggling young QB. Colt knows the past. A lot of quarterbacks did wonderful things in college and failed in the pros. He's not trying to add to that stat.

"When guys come into the league, it's the guys that take everything for granted that don't work as hard as they once did," Brennan said. "For me, I'm working harder than ever right now and I think that's gonna be something that makes me successful in the years to come."

Now obviously in the long run, Colt Brennan's value to the Redskins will be right there on the field, but for now, book your tickets and get some advice. The man's spent a ton of time in Hawaii. He's gotta know the hot spots.

"For a lot of people, I'm actually a nice guy to have around here because any time they want a Hawaiian vacation, they kind of got a little on the inside," Brennan said.

Brennan also shares his thoughts on the Redskins Web site. Remember, he's got a degree from UH in Communications. Brennan talks about how his hip is feeling as well as learning from Coach Zorn.
