Tyler Graunke expected succession of Colt Brennan as Hawaii's starting quarterback may not be how things play out this upcoming season. UH released a statement Friday that Graunke will not be practicing with the team effective Monday when Fall camp begins. Gruanke's playing status could be in jeopardy. Sources tell KGMB9 that Gruanke has academic issues that could force him to sit out for a while and possibly make him ineligible for his 5th year at Manoa. The news comes just three days before he was expected to enter Fall training as one of the school's leading candidates for starting QB. Graunke had been working on his school work over the Summer since he was penalized during Spring ball for not maintaining his grades. As a result he was listed as the second QB to Inouke Funaki in March. |
