Robin Williams plans to take his comedy shtick back on the road after six years off the stand-up circuit. The Oscar-winning actor hasn't toured the states since a 26-date jaunt back in 2002 that received critical praise. Williams' "Weapons of Self-Destruction" tour will kick off September 25.
Zac Efron's ready to graduate from his High School Musical days and shed his good-guy image. According to Zac, there's a new, edgier Zac on the horizon: "I want people to see that I have grown up and moved on. ... I want to do something dark, or a comedy. There's tons of icons that I would love to work with on something new and exciting."
Some of the latest CD's out in stores now:
Del Beazley called All for one...Christian CD done in both Ōlelo Hawai'i and English; he'll be one of the special guests at the Hawaiian 105 KINE Aloha Friday Luncheon Show tomorrow. The Boy from Laupahoehoe, Uncle Bill Ka'iwa releases Na Lalia...and it's been a while since he's released; Steven Hall co-produced on the project, Jeff Rasmussen. He's been in the background of some of Hawaii's biggest contemporary CD's; he's back out in the front again with Another Rainbow. And remember from the Homegrown Series Cd's and Ka'auhuhu Homestead? John Keawe puts out his 9th release called Hawai'i Island is my home..and his music has always been a reflection of his love for the 'aina he calls home.
Tomorrow: Sneak peaks at the covers for Lopaka Kaumaka'iwa Kanaka'ole and Amy Hanaiali'i |
