The Maui County Council is considering a ban on plastic bags today. The bill would prevent retailers from giving out plastic bags at the register. The idea is to tackle the environmental effects of plastic bags. The bags get blown around littering trees and roadways. They can be a threat to marine life, polluting our ocean and they can be an eye sore at the maui landfill.

But what would life be like without plastic bags?

A national survey cited by the American Chemistry Council says 90% of americans reuse their bags.
