Republicans have said Barack Obama is a good speaker but he doesn't have enough experience. Tonight local democrats used the same argument against Sarah Palin. Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is a hockey mom and a hunter and in front of a national audience she certainly was not a deer in headlights. "I love those hockey mom’s. You know they say the only difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull. Lipstick," said Palin during her speech at the Republican National Convention. "Sarah Palin overall did very, very well. She did everything a vice presidential candidate is supposed to do," said Dan Boylan, KGMB9 News Analyst. She also took some shots at Obama and she didn't back away from the lack of experience argument. "She talked about having more executive experience than both Obama and Biden combined, well you could say Obama, Biden and McCain because none of them have executive experience," said Boylan. Hawaii democrats watched Palin's speech at their headquarters in Honolulu. They concede Palin has personality, but don't expect Hillary Clinton supporters to vote for her just because she's a woman. "We do all know and appreciate that we have a country with major problems, the war, the economy, fossil fuels, everything. We have got to rebuild this country, we're not going to simply say yeah we're going to go with her because she's a woman," said Colleen Hanabusa, State Senate President and Hillary Clinton Hawaii Campaign Co-chair. Palin says she's ready for the challenge. No doubt her whole family will do anything to lick their opponent. |
