The deadline has come and gone but there's still a chance the Falls of Clyde can be saved. This morning, a group called the Friends of the Falls of Clyde met with people from Bishop Museum, which owns the historic vessel.

The group outlined its proposal to assume ownership and take responsibility for the Falls. The museum is reviewing the proposal and within a week hopes to announce whether the ship will be sunk or given to the Friends of the Falls for restoration.
