Searchers did recover some panels from the helicopter and brought them ashore. They'll be moved to a hanger at Hickam Air Force Base where investigators will try to reassemble the chopper and figure out why it crashed. But there's no sign yet of the last crew member. "While we're hurting, we'll still doing the job. and many of the air crew members that these guys worked with are flying right now looking for them. We have ideal search conditions. We have a very good last known position, and we're saturating the area with as many assets as we can," said Lt. John Tichen of the U.S. Coast Guard. The Coast Guard plans to keep on searching around the clock through Sunday. Meanwhile, we know more about one of the three crew members killed. In response to Thursday's tragedy, the Coast Guard Foundation has set up a relief fund for the families of the crew members. Click here for more information. |
